LESSON SET OVERVIEW

With this lesson set, your students will:

  • learn clothes vocabulary,
  • talk about outfits for different occasions,
  • discuss the concept of minimalist (‘capsule’) wardrobe from a video, 
  • understand outfit descriptions from a recording,
  • share clothing preferences and talk about personal style,
  • do a role-play to help each other pack clothes.

This set provides comprehensive practice of the topic of clothing. In the first lesson, students learn names of various clothing items and parts. In the second lesson, they discuss the idea of minimalist wardrobe using the vocabulary introduced in the first lesson.

In the wardrobe

General Lifestyle

Students learn clothing items (e.g. blazer, slippers, belt) and their parts (e.g. hood, zip, sleeves). They practise the vocabulary while describing their own clothes and while talking about people in photos. They also play a game and do a listening comprehension task.

Less is more: minimalist wardrobe

Lifestyle

Students watch a video about a minimalist (‘capsule’) wardrobe and share opinions about it. They also decide what they would wear in different situations. Students are exposed to target vocabulary in ex. 2 (slides 5 and 6). Encourage students to use the new clothing vocabulary in the role-play in ex. 4 (slide 10).

Is there a minimum subscription period if I choose a monthly subscription?

No, there's no minimum required number of subscription months. You can cancel any time you want. Basically, you can sign up and then cancel your subscription the next day, which will mean you have access for 1 month and won't be charged again.

How can I edit an e-lesson plan?

You can get your own editable copy of an e-lesson plan and make changes to it. To do so, either (1) make a copy of it on your Google Drive (preferable method) or (2) download it in a Powerpoint format (but formatting might be a bit off so we can’t guarantee that it will work well).
