LESSON SET OVERVIEW

With this lesson set, your students will:

  • practise phrases for common city activities,
  • practise functional language for travel situations,
  • watch a funny ad for the city of Oslo and a video about Australia, 
  • discuss big cities, share their pros and cons and show preferences,
  • talk about holiday experiences and travel plans.

This set provides comprehensive practice of holiday vocabulary and functional language. In lesson 1, students learn collocations to talk about activities in cities. In lesson 2, they use the new vocabulary to talk about problems on holidays, and they learn how to deal with the problems in English.

Students watch a video about Australia and plan a trip there. They identify problems people have on holiday, discuss possible solutions and practise functional language to deal with these problems. They are exposed to the collocations from lesson 1 in ex. 2. (slides 6-7). Encourage them to use the collocations in ex. 5 (slide 14).

Is there a minimum subscription period if I choose a monthly subscription?

No, there's no minimum required number of subscription months. You can cancel any time you want. Basically, you can sign up and then cancel your subscription the next day, which will mean you have access for 1 month and won't be charged again.

How can I edit an e-lesson plan?

You can get your own editable copy of an e-lesson plan and make changes to it. To do so, either (1) make a copy of it on your Google Drive (preferable method) or (2) download it in a Powerpoint format (but formatting might be a bit off so we can’t guarantee that it will work well).
