LESSON SET OVERVIEW

With this lesson set, your students will:

  • learn and practise Past Simple including regular and irregular verbs,
  • talk about things that happened in the past using positive sentences, negative statements and questions,
  • practise listening comprehension with two videos and three recordings,
  • read a text and write dialogues. 

With this set of four lessons, students get beginner’s knowledge of Past Simple. They start with a lesson in which they learn different forms of the verb ‘to be’. In the second lesson, they practise regular verbs. In the third lesson, students learn how to create negative sentences and questions. In the last lesson of the set, students learn and practise some irregular verbs (e.g. bought, made, lost).

You can get your own editable copy of an e-lesson plan and make changes to it. To do so, either (1) make a copy of it on your Google Drive (preferable method) or (2) download it in a Powerpoint format (but formatting might be a bit off so we can’t guarantee that it will work well).
