LESSON SET OVERVIEW

With this lesson set, your students will:

  • learn language for speculation to talk about the future,
  • talk about robots at home,
  • work on listening comprehension skills,
  • practise language for speculation on a topic of your choice: smart lenses, robot chefs or ChatGPT.

In the first lesson, students learn phrases to speculate about the future. Depending on your choice of the second lesson, students further practise the phrases while talking about smart lenses, robot chefs or ChatGPT.

This is a lesson set. Use the lessons in the set in the suggested order. Learn more about sets here.

Technology

Students practise listening comprehension, learn language for speculation (e.g. I’m sure that…, It’s likely that…, We might…) and talk about robots and homes of the future. They also learn some vocabulary from the video.

Technology

Students predict details about a technology, talk about gadgets and superpowers and watch two short videos about smart contact lenses. Encourage them to use language for speculation when doing ex. 5 and 6 (slides 9 and 11).

Can robots be chefs?

Technology

Students read an article about a pizza vending machine at home, talk about cooking and automation and learn vocabulary from the article. They also discuss what technology they would invest in. Encourage students to use language for speculation in ex. 4 (slide 12).

What can AI do for you?

Technology

Students talk about tasks people and AI can do, learn useful vocabulary, and watch a video about ChatGPT. Encourage students to use the target language in ex. 11 (slides 24-25).

Is there a minimum subscription period if I choose a monthly subscription?

No, there's no minimum required number of subscription months. You can cancel any time you want. Basically, you can sign up and then cancel your subscription the next day, which will mean you have access for 1 month and won't be charged again.

What currencies can I pay in for my subscription?

Our default currency is USD (American dollar), but you can also pay in EUR (euro), GBP (British pound sterling) or PLN (Polish zloty). You can change the currency you want to pay in at the Pricing page before selecting a subscription plan.

How can I edit an e-lesson plan?

You can get your own editable copy of an e-lesson plan and make changes to it. To do so, either (1) make a copy of it on your Google Drive (preferable method) or (2) download it in a Powerpoint format (but formatting might be a bit off so we can’t guarantee that it will work well).
