LESSON SET OVERVIEW

With this lesson set, your students will:

  • learn vocabulary for different holiday activities,
  • discuss holiday preferences and plans,
  • practise ‘like’/‘love’/‘hate’/‘dislike’/‘enjoy’ + ‘ing’,
  • explore verbs ‘would like’, ‘want’ and ‘prefer’ ,
  • watch a video about a family who travels in a campervan and one with kids sharing what they like doing on holiday.

The two lessons allow students to understand and practise the use of gerunds and infinitives in the context of holiday and free time. In the first lesson, students learn to use a gerund after love’, ‘likeand hate’. In the second lesson, they revise the verbs followed by a gerund and practise using an infinitive after want toand would like to’.

Holiday likes and dislikes

General Lifestyle

Students watch a video about things to do on holiday, practise phrases for holiday activities (e.g. play sports, have a picnic), talk about their likes and dislikes and discuss the things they did in their childhood. They also learn more phrases for likes and preferences (e.g. dislike, would like to, want to).

Is there a minimum subscription period if I choose a monthly subscription?

No, there's no minimum required number of subscription months. You can cancel any time you want. Basically, you can sign up and then cancel your subscription the next day, which will mean you have access for 1 month and won't be charged again.

How can I edit an e-lesson plan?

You can get your own editable copy of an e-lesson plan and make changes to it. To do so, either (1) make a copy of it on your Google Drive (preferable method) or (2) download it in a Powerpoint format (but formatting might be a bit off so we can’t guarantee that it will work well).
