LESSON SET OVERVIEW

With this lesson set, your students will:

  • understand and review future forms (will, be going to, Present Continuous),
  • watch a video about smart cities and one about making plans, 
  • learn functional language to talk about plans,
  • role-play arranging and changing plans,
  • discuss how technology can solve urban issues.

In the first lesson, students will revise and practise different future forms while talking about the future of cities. In the second lesson, they will consolidate the grammar knowledge and practise using functional language to talk about plans.

Will we live in a smart city?

Grammar Technology

Students learn the difference between will, be going to and Present Continuous. They practise grammar while talking about cities. Students also watch an ad featuring a city of the future and talk about urban issues.

Lifestyle

Students practise future structures in ex. 2 and 3 (slides 8-17). They learn functional language (e.g. I’d like to confirm…, I’m available on…, Something has come up…) and watch a video in which people arrange a meeting. Students also do a role-play.

Is there a minimum subscription period if I choose a monthly subscription?

No, there's no minimum required number of subscription months. You can cancel any time you want. Basically, you can sign up and then cancel your subscription the next day, which will mean you have access for 1 month and won't be charged again.

What currencies can I pay in for my subscription?

Our default currency is USD (American dollar), but you can also pay in EUR (euro), GBP (British pound sterling) or PLN (Polish zloty). You can change the currency you want to pay in at the Pricing page before selecting a subscription plan.

How can I edit an e-lesson plan?

You can get your own editable copy of an e-lesson plan and make changes to it. To do so, either (1) make a copy of it on your Google Drive (preferable method) or (2) download it in a Powerpoint format (but formatting might be a bit off so we can’t guarantee that it will work well).
