NEWS SUMMARY

South Korea is becoming a major destination for medical tourism, with more travellers adding health check-ups to their holidays. In 2025, over two million foreign patients visited the country, attracted by affordable prices, efficient service and high-quality healthcare. Many clinics offer comprehensive health screenings, including blood tests, ultrasounds and X-rays, in a single visit, often at a much lower cost than in other countries. Patients also value the short waiting times and support available for international visitors. Medical support services and interpreters can make booking appointments and communicating with medical staff easier for foreign patients.
