NEWS SUMMARY

Formula 1 is a world championship where drivers and car constructors compete in races called Grand Prix, which take place in different countries throughout the year. Each race gives points to the drivers. The driver who collects the most points by the end of the season wins the whole championship. So every single race is important.

This weekend, one of those races took place in Japan at a famous track called Suzuka. Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) won the race. He had a difficult start and dropped to 6th place, but a crash from another driver brought out the safety car, which slowed everyone down. Antonelli used this moment to stop and change his tyres at the perfect time and came back to the front. He then drove really well and won. Piastri (McLaren) finished second and Leclerc (Ferrari) came third. Verstappen (Red Bull) had a really tough weekend. Antonelli is now leading the championship.
