LESSON OVERVIEW

This is a reading and vocabulary worksheet which you can use with your Business English students. They will read some original blog article where an expert talks about negotiation skills and tips. The text is packed with nice and useful language that your students will learn as well as practise by getting engaged into a meaningful work-related conversation.

DISCUSSION

The worksheet starts with a short discussion about negotiation skills. Students get a list of negotiation skills and they have to say what they mean in their opinion. Monitor the discussion and set some time limit for it as some students might get into really extensive discussions about these negotiation skills.

READING & VOCABULARY

Next, students read the text and compare the ideas they’ve come up with during the discussion. In the next task, students have to find some words and phrases in the text and match them to the correct meanings. The worksheet ends with a fill-in the gaps exercise. Students have to complete a few questions with the vocabulary from the text. After that, they can work in pairs, and ask and answer these questions.

Is there a presentation version included in this lesson? I can only see the student’s and teacher’s versions. Thanks 🙂

    1. Justa

This worksheet doesn’t have a presentation as it’s based on a quite a long text and includes just a few tasks connected with it. Actually, it is one out of only three worksheets on our website that don’t go with e-lesson plans.

Questions

Title separator

Is there a minimum subscription period if I choose a monthly subscription?

No, there's no minimum required number of subscription months. You can cancel any time you want. Basically, you can sign up and then cancel your subscription the next day, which will mean you have access for 1 month and won't be charged again.

What currencies can I pay in for my subscription?

Our default currency is USD (American dollar), but you can also pay in EUR (euro), GBP (British pound sterling) or PLN (Polish zloty). You can change the currency you want to pay in at the Pricing page before selecting a subscription plan.

How can I edit an e-lesson plan?

You can get your own editable copy of an e-lesson plan and make changes to it. To do so, either (1) make a copy of it on your Google Drive (preferable method) or (2) download it in a Powerpoint format (but formatting might be a bit off so we can’t guarantee that it will work well).
