LESSON SET OVERVIEW

With this lesson set, your students will:

  • learn vocabulary to describe people’s appearance,
  • practise different uses of ‘like’,
  • learn some body parts,
  • talk about themselves and the people they know, 
  • watch a video on women’s self-image,
  • practise filler words.

In the first lesson, students learn to describe people’s appearance and explore filler words. In the second lesson, they use the vocabulary from lesson 1 to ask and answer different questions with ‘like’.

What do they look like?

General

Students learn vocabulary (e.g. piercing, beard, slim), describe people in photos, watch a video in which people share what they think about their appearance and practise filler words (e.g. ooh, um). They also learn some body parts (e.g. thigh, belly, bum).

General

Students practise different uses of like (like, be like, look like), talk about people’s appearance and personality and describe people in photos. Encourage students to use the vocabulary from the first lesson in ex. 8, 9 and 10 (slides 28-32).

How can I edit an e-lesson plan?

You can get your own editable copy of an e-lesson plan and make changes to it. To do so, either (1) make a copy of it on your Google Drive (preferable method) or (2) download it in a Powerpoint format (but formatting might be a bit off so we can’t guarantee that it will work well).
