Open AI has released the fifth generation of AI technology behind ChatGPT. According to Sam Altman, the company CEO, talking to GPT-5 is like talking to a ‘PhD-level expert’. The company also assures that the chatbot is less deceptive than it was previously.
GPT-5 is available for free to all 700 million users, although there are some usage limits.
OpenAI’s estimated value is $300 billion. The company has not yet made any profit.
