Transform your English classroom

Are your students bored of coursebooks? Our lesson plans for adults (A1-C2) will offer a refreshing change-up! Based on authentic materials to expose your students to real-life English, our worksheets allow students to equip themselves for the English-speaking world through speaking practice, functional vocabulary, and grammar activities.Select your plan

Designed to suit online and in-person teaching

Each lesson we publish is available in two formats: e-lesson plan to maximise online engagement and focus, and printable, downloadable PDFs. Select your plan

Choose from four lesson types

Four lesson types for different teaching needs. We know that it’s important to mix things up, so we’ve got four different lesson types to choose from, meaning your students will never get bored! Select the Unlimited plan.
  • Standard Lessons: engaging topics and stimulating activities designed to comprehensively work on all language skills.
  • Speaking Classes: thought-provoking ideas that encourage students to voice their opinions whilst honing their verbal communication skills.
  • Critical Reading Club: an article-based lesson format which promotes critical thinking, vocabulary, and reading outside the classroom.
  • Flipped Classroom: a research-backed educational model which pre-teaches important concepts before the class, maximising in-class language production.

Will my ESL Brains subscription renew automatically each month?

Yes, your ESL Brains subscription is set for automatic renewal until you cancel it. Depending on your plan, it will renew monthly or yearly. Fortunately, we have a “cancel anytime” policy which means you can cancel the plan and stop the automatic renewal yourself anytime you want. Just head to the Subscription tab to cancel your membership.

If I have an Unlimited subscription, can I still access Premium lessons?

You most certainly can! Our Unlimited subscribers have 100% access to all ESL Brains content. This comprises 700+ lessons, including CRC worksheets, Speaking Class worksheets, Flipped Classroom worksheets, and all of our e-lesson formats. It’s no wonder this is our most popular membership option!

If I have a Premium subscription, what lessons do I get?

With a Premium subscription, you have access to a curated selection of 300+ lessons from the ESL Brains library – just look out for the ‘Premium’ label! All Premium lessons include our e-lesson format, but please note that a Premium subscription does not give you access to our CRC worksheets, Speaking Class worksheets, or Flipped Classroom worksheets.

Can I see ESL Brains content before I pay for a subscription?

We’re protective of our lessons, but we don’t mind giving you a sneak peak! You can’t see all the Premium or Unlimited content without a subscription, but you can browse 80+ free lessons by going to the Lesson Search page and selecting the Free filter. If you’d like to check out our various lesson formats (i.e. e-lesson plans, Flipped Classroom, Speaking Class, and Critical Reading Club worksheets), then head to Discover ESL Brains content page for free samples!

The website is clear and easy to navigate, the materials are relevant and clearly produced by experienced teachers and I particularly like the inclusion of a lot of videos which break up the monotony of paper handouts for students and open up learning to those who have a more visual bias

- Dave J.

I teach 1-1 ESL with an intermediate student and your resources, lesson plans, and scaffolding are 100% what I need. It makes my life so much easier to have ESLbrains as a resource instead of scrapping together my own lesson plans every week. I'm a tired, over-worked, burnt out teacher, so your product really impacts my quality of life by saving me some of my brain energy for other tasks

- Annie N.

There's a lot of content out there (both online and in text books ) that all of sudden now seems outdated and out of touch, but you are guys are staying connected with what's happening, adapting and creating timely content that makes for both super interesting and also engaging lessons - and when the content is like that, students learn! Thanks so much! Keep up the great work.

- Dave M.

I recently polled my fellow teachers about lesson materials. One of the questions I asked was, “Which lesson materials in your opinion are the best overall?”, and I gave them a dropdown list of all the materials we have available at our company. Every. Single. Teacher. Said ESL Brains materials are the best :). Keep up the great work!

- Anja

Hi! Just wanted to say that you guys are a lifesaver. I am your fan and use your activities in all my private classes. I don't know I would do without you! Thank you so very much!

- Rosangela Z.

The Critical Reading Club lessons have been extremely useful with students who want to focus on conversation. They read the supporting material beforehand and we have amazing discussions

- Mastering Shelt

Hi all, I just wanted to say that I absolutely LOVE ESL Brains’ lessons! I’ve been using your lesson plans with many of my students now and the lessons always turn out super engaging! So thank you sooo much for creating such great material for us teachers out there

- Elisa

You are doing a great job! Your resources are interesting, engaging and professional. I`ve used many, many lessons, and my students love them. I can say you are like a digital coursebook for me. Thanks a million.

- Aldona S.

I’m trying the A2 general Flow with a new student; it’s going really well and it’s helped me a lot. Of course I’m adjusting it to the student’s interests and level, but I’m saving loads of time in my lesson planning

- Vero R.

Seriously, I absolutely LOVE these lessons! They are all on such relevant topics & have great content for most levels. Keep them coming so I can spend my planning time out fishing

- Chris W.

Every lesson plan I use in class from this site is nothing but plain perfection. The topics are different, interesting, the exercises fun, well thought-through, well organized, useful. I LOVE this site and I am DEEPLY grateful for you providing me with new ideas for my classes and sparing the little time that I have.

- Hana S.

I love ESL Brains speaking lessons! They really give learners the space to bring their own ideas and experiences into the lessons, and provide focussed opportunities for personally meaningful emergent vocabulary to come out

- Anna R.

Congratulations to you and your team on creating such great lesson plans and for the customer experience too, much appreciated. Your lesson plans help a lot and make our classes fun, and so, we get more students!

- Tomasz B.

I just want to say many thanks for all the wonderful ideas, creative ways of sharing knowledge and the incentive for us, teachers. 2023 was a new beginning for me because I switched from working at school to teaching online from home. Finding ESL Brains made an enormous difference, so thank you again.
