Revision Tasks Generator 2.0

Several months ago, we introduced a new feature: a generator of revision tasks. Thanks to all the feedback you provided in your messages, emails and the annual survey, we’ve been able to extend the tool. So, without further ado, we’re presenting: Revision Tasks Generator 2.0! 🎉🎉🎉

What tasks does Revision Tasks Generator 2.0 offer?

We’ve added new types of tasks to the original generator. Now, depending on what the focus of the lesson is (vocabulary, grammar or functional language), the available tasks are:

🟪 Gap-fill: Students complete gaps using words in boxes. This type of task is designed to practise vocabulary and functional language introduced in the lesson. 

🟪 Word Scramble: Students unscramble letters to create words or phrases. This task is designed to practise or test target vocabulary. 

🟪 Mistake Correction: Students find a mistake in a sentence. This type of task is available for grammar and functional language lessons. 

🟪 Multiple Choice: Students choose the correct answer to practise grammar. 

Each type of lesson focus means 2️⃣ types of tasks, so if the focus is e.g. both vocabulary and grammar, or vocabulary and functional language, you’ll get 4️⃣tasks in total.  

In lessons with more than 8️⃣ lexical items (like Vocabulary Lab worksheets which introduce 1️⃣6️⃣ items), the two revision tasks are based on two sets of 8️⃣different words, so you can use both tasks in the same lesson or test!

What are some other new features?

You might want to opt out of some tasks. Do it before the tasks are generated by unticking the corresponding box. You can also remove the task from the list after it’s been generated and it will not be copied to the pdf.

Who can use the generator? 

Revision Tasks Generator is available for Unlimited subscribers. To generate tasks, use the purple button 🟪 next to the lesson image. If you want to generate tasks for up to three lessons at the same time use the magic wand 🪄 in the top-right corner of the page and look for the lessons you need in the dropdown menu.
