LESSON SET OVERVIEW

With this lesson set, your students will:

  • practise using quantifiers in various contexts,
  • learn work-related collocations,
  • practise listening comprehension with three videos,
  • discuss work conditions, employee feedback and mentoring,
  • talk about the perfect number of people for different situations. 

This lesson set on job satisfaction, professional improvement as well as individual and team activities allows students to practise quantifiers. In the first (flipped) lesson, students learn and practise quantifiers and talk about job satisfaction. In the second lesson, they talk about mentoring and with the third lesson, they further practise expressing quantities.

Does everyone need a mentor?

Business

Students watch a video and discuss the idea of mentoring. They also compare word pairs like mentor - mentee) and interviewer - interviewee). Students can also expand on the topic of quantifiers in in ex. 9-10 (slides 19-22) by using the correct words with advice.

How many is enough?

General

Students discuss the minimum and maximum number of people for activities and share their preferences for group or individual activities. They also do an extra activity to review quantifiers (e.g. much, several, too many). Encourage students to use quantifiers when discussing the points in ex. 2, 4, 7 and 8 (slides 9, 13 and 19-20).

Is there a minimum subscription period if I choose a monthly subscription?

How can I edit an e-lesson plan?

You can get your own editable copy of an e-lesson plan and make changes to it. To do so, either (1) make a copy of it on your Google Drive (preferable method) or (2) download it in a Powerpoint format (but formatting might be a bit off so we can’t guarantee that it will work well).
