LESSON SET OVERVIEW

With this lesson set, your students will:

  • practise money and shopping related vocabulary,
  • discuss the cost of living in different places,
  • talk about shopping preferences and experiences,
  • evaluate situations related to shopping,
  • watch two videos: one about the cost of living in the Netherlands and one about a shop in Germany. 

In the first lesson of the set, students learn verbs related to money and vocabulary to talk about spending money. They also compare costs of living. In the second lesson, students practise the vocabulary further while talking about shopping.

How much does it cost?

General

Students learn money-related verbs (e.g. earn, cost, spend, lend) and use the vocabulary to talk about the cost of living. They also do listening comprehension activities and respond to a video.

Lifestyle

Students categorize vocabulary related to shopping (e.g. cashier, discount, second-hand) and share their shopping preferences. Encourage students to use the shopping-related verbs from Lesson 1 in ex. 4 and 5 (slides 11-16).

Is there a minimum subscription period if I choose a monthly subscription?

No, there's no minimum required number of subscription months. You can cancel any time you want. Basically, you can sign up and then cancel your subscription the next day, which will mean you have access for 1 month and won't be charged again.

How can I edit an e-lesson plan?

You can get your own editable copy of an e-lesson plan and make changes to it. To do so, either (1) make a copy of it on your Google Drive (preferable method) or (2) download it in a Powerpoint format (but formatting might be a bit off so we can’t guarantee that it will work well).
