LESSON SET OVERVIEW

With this lesson set, your students will:

  • learn how to use Past Continuous,
  • compare Past Simple and Past Continuous
  • practise using the two tenses in a controlled and free way,
  • watch a funny ad,
  • come up with excuses,
  • talk about posh and fancy things and places. 

In the first lesson, students learn how to use Past Continuous and Past Simple. They practise them by creating excuses for people in difficult situations. In the second lesson, students further practise the two tenses by creating stories set in posh places.

Grammar

Students learn about Past Continuous and compare it with Past Simple. They notice different verb forms and do controlled practice. Then, in the free practice part, they think of excuses for different situations using the two tenses.

Posh and fancy (Past Simple and Continuous practice)

Grammar Lifestyle

Students learn vocabulary to talk about posh places and lifestyles. They watch a funny ad and use Past Simple and Past Continues to talk about it. Students are also reminded about the differences between the tenses and they create stories set in posh places using the target vocabulary and the tenses.

Is there a minimum subscription period if I choose a monthly subscription?

No, there's no minimum required number of subscription months. You can cancel any time you want. Basically, you can sign up and then cancel your subscription the next day, which will mean you have access for 1 month and won't be charged again.

How can I edit an e-lesson plan?

You can get your own editable copy of an e-lesson plan and make changes to it. To do so, either (1) make a copy of it on your Google Drive (preferable method) or (2) download it in a Powerpoint format (but formatting might be a bit off so we can’t guarantee that it will work well).
