NEWS SUMMARY
Spotify is introducing a new label to show users when a music artist may have been created by AI. The company says this will make it easier for listeners to understand what they are listening to and choose whether they want to hear AI-generated music. Artists with the label will not appear in users’ personalised recommendations unless they already follow them. Spotify hopes users setting up an AI profile will label it as such themselves, but it will also check some accounts and allow artists to appeal if they disagree with the decision.
